The Homemade Machine is a small personal research site. The aim is to publish and measure work from The Homemade Machine experiment, not to build user profiles.
What This Site Measures
The project may measure basic site activity so I can understand whether the publishing system is producing useful work. That may include page-level analytics, affiliate link clicks, and post-publish correction history.
Affiliate Clicks
Affiliate clicks may be counted to understand whether published work creates any commercial signal. The phase-1 design is link-level counting, not user profiling: no cookies, user accounts, or personal identifiers are needed for that measurement.
Analytics
Analytics tooling is not currently the centre of the experiment. If privacy-preserving analytics such as Plausible or Search Console are added, this page will be updated to say what is collected and why.
Newsletters And Memberships
Ghost newsletters, memberships, subscribe forms, and sign-up forms are not currently part of The Homemade Machine experiment. Those features are hidden while the site is being prepared.
Cookies And Accounts
The project does not currently require reader accounts. If Ghost or Cloudflare sets essential technical cookies for site operation or security, they are not used by this project to build personal reader profiles.
Contact And Corrections
